A healing in Christian Science is an awakening in some degree to the spiritual truth that there is only one creator—God, who has created everything good, as we read in the first chapter of the Bible. I had an opportunity to prove once again that this spiritual fact is indeed true.

For several days I had been feeling very uncomfortable, and in the middle of one night I found I had a rash all over my body. I remembered my dad had once suffered with a physical difficulty, and the symptoms of his illness seemed to be the same ones I was experiencing. Since my learning of Christian Science some years ago and my subsequent healing of multiple sclerosis, I had relied on Science in every need and knew its efficacy. It was now important to understand why this difficulty could not be a part of me.

In Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy we read: "Like our nation, Christian Science has its Declaration of Independence. God has endowed man with inalienable rights, among which are self-government, reason, and conscience. Man is properly self-governed only when he is guided rightly and governed by his Maker, divine Truth and Love."
