Truth's tenacity
Doris Kerns Quinn
Truth is tenacious.
It holds us in its grasp
never letting go
for a moment.
It hangs on
even when we think
we're losing our grip.
Truth will hold us
when we seem to slip.
Truth's tenacity
is surely as dependable
as Truth's veracity.
Truth has to keep on
being true forever.
