The way
Straight and narrow
is the way
leading to
eternal day
Rocky, rugged
is the climb
rising from
the thrall of time
Turning not
to left or right
ascent grows broader
to our sight
Wider, higher
grows the road—
lighter feels
our heavy load
More expansive
spreads the view
faithful following
leads us to
Till at last
the summit's gained:
God's kingdom won
and heaven attained!
