I first heard of Christian Science several years ago, through some Christian Science literature given to me by the mother of the young man our teen-age daughter was dating at the time.

I am deeply grateful for all the healings I have experienced through Christian Science. One such healing was of a burn. I had taken a baking dish out of the oven and was bringing it to the table when the contents spilled on my arm and hand. I quickly cleaned myself up and went to my room to be alone to pray. When I felt unable to handle the problem myself, I called a Christian Science practitioner and asked if he would pray for me. He said he would. I was so touched and grateful that he would take time from his Thanksgiving holiday to pray for me. Very soon after that I was able to join my family at the dinner table, free from pain or any aftereffects of the incident.

Another healing occurred while I was water-skiing with my brother and my youngest son and daughter. I had not understood my brother's instructions and had placed the rope towbar in a position between my legs where I could not move it. My brother didn't see what I had done, and as the boat pulled ahead, I was dragged through the water unable to get free of the towbar. Then my brother realized my situation and stopped the boat.
