Opinions: high-flying (and low-flying)
Opinion polling on issues and candidates in this election year in the United States proceeds at a merry pace.
It sometimes seems reminiscent of Alexander Pope's couplet "Some praise at morning what they blame at night; / But always think the last opinion right." "An Essay on Criticism."
Of course it isn't just in regard to politics that there are differences of opinion. They are found among relatives, between office departments, in churches, between countries. It would be humorous, if it weren't so continually explosive and destructive.
