Gaining heaven's aftersmile
I long
for Thy living Christ to lift me up,
to touch my heart,
to make me strong,
to fill my thought with Thee.
I listen,
for priceless pearls of Thy truth,
always offered from above,
that glisten
with pure love.
I pray...
and know I am Thy perfect child.
As thoughts of holy sonship dawn,
sweet angels gently nod,
and say,
my home is still in God.
