Riches
Me?
No, I'm not poor, even though
I've not much left for almsgiving
And it's pretty much paycheck-to-paycheck living.
But such as I have I too can give:
A happy heart to share with others;
The peace that comes from being sisters/brothers;
The joy and delight of beholding God's child;
The truth of our being—we're pure, undefiled;
The sweet assurance of God's tender love—
Knowing His laws are here, not just above;
Awe from seeing His creation unfolding,
Perfectly formed by His precision molding.
See—
I'm rich in the Spirit, my wealth's in the Lord;
I've always the treasure of His promised Word.
