I came into Christian Science in 1939. Since then God has been my only physician. My healings have been so numerous I could write a book. My husband and three sons are also students of Christian Science. They, too, have had healing after healing. I can never be grateful enough for this wonderfully practical Science and for our selfless Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered it and shared it with the world.

One of the many healings experienced in our home occurred as follows. My son was brought to the door one Thursday evening by a young man who had found him lying at the side of the road. He had fallen from his bicycle with great force, and I hardly recognized him because his face was so badly injured.

After I settled my son on the couch I tried to understand the boy's spiritual wholeness as the perfect likeness of God. But suggestions intruded, such as: "This is serious. Will the child be disfigured? Should he have stitches? What will the neighbors think of Christian Science if you can't heal this?" I sat down on the couch next to my son and listened for guidance from God.
