Safe in God's arms
Heather feels grown-up when she gets to carry things. She carries her own stack of books when she visits the library. She carries her own canvas bag when she stays overnight at Grandma's house. Sometimes there are so many tomatoes and zucchini from the garden that she helps Daddy carry them gently to the kitchen.
One morning after shopping, Daddy asked Heather to carry a few packages downstairs. Heather was happy to be a big helper. But as she started down, her foot slipped. Heather lost her balance and tumbled down the stairs.
Daddy heard. He ran and picked Heather up in his large arms. Then he sat down, holding her close to him.
