"From a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation" (II Tim. 3:15).

I am very grateful to have been born and raised in a home where the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy were studied daily. The study of Christian Science has opened a spiritually progressive way of life for me.

When I was eight I woke one morning with symptoms of chicken pox. My parents were obedient to local laws; I was kept home from school, and the city health department was notified. A representative from the health department arrived at nine o'clock that morning and diagnosed the illness as chicken pox. He established a two-week quarantine period and advised Mother that my sister would probably contract the disease as well.
