The most precious gift my mother gave my sisters and me was to enroll us in a Christian Science Sunday School when we were young. She did this despite the protest of the minister of the church we had been attending. He told Mother she was making a grave mistake and would regret it. She never did.

One of my sisters and I had frequently been sick. For a period of time a nurse had lived in our home. We had even been taken to another state in hope the climate would help us. No answers had been found. But when Christian Science became a new experience for all of us, it opened to us a way of thinking and living that showed the rightness and practicality of following Christ Jesus' teachings. Good health soon became normal for my sister and me.

One of the most helpful lessons I've learned came through an experience I had some years ago. For a period, I had some difficulty in walking because of pain in my leg. One day the pain became severe and I asked to be taken home from work. A Christian Science practitioner was called to help me through prayer.
