I Should like to pay a little of my debt to God by submitting this testimony.

A few years after I was married, my parents passed on within months of each other. I can truly say that Love sustained me on both occasions. Though I did miss my parents at times, I really was lifted out of any sense of mourning.

At that time our boy was around two years old, and one day he became very ill. My husband, who was a dedicated student of Christian Science, and I prayed for him. Later we telephoned a Christian Science practitioner to help us. One morning two or three days after that, the child still seemed no better. I was standing by a window, feeling very upset and longing very much for my mother. "If only Mother were here," I thought. "She would know what is wrong and how to pray about it." Immediately there came these spiritual intuitions: "God is your Mother. God is Mind and knows all—all there is to know about this child." I suddenly felt as if a great weight had fallen from me, and I knew God to be my all-knowing, ever-present Father-Mother. The boy began improving soon after and was his usual, active self by the next day. There was no return of the illness. In fact, throughout their school and university years, this son and his sisters were very seldom ill.
