Instantaneous healing: an ultimate goal
Is instantaneous healing such as we read about in the Bible possible for today's Christian healer? Yes. When we apply correctly the same scientific spiritual methods used by Christ Jesus in his ministry and reflect the Christ-spirit, we can expect quick healing. Instantaneous healing does not depend on how long we have studied Christian Science. In her book Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes, "If Spirit or the power of divine Love bear witness to the truth, this is the ultimatum, the scientific way, and the healing is instantaneous." Science and Health, p. 411. That the Christian healer does not always reach this ultimatum and heal instantaneously does not mean that we should give up the goal. Rather, it may point to a need for spiritual growth and for a better understanding of how Jesus healed.
The goal is the quick and definite healing found in original Christianity.
