DOES GOD HAVE A PURPOSE FOR US?
Our individual niche
As a child I always thought of a niche as a cubbyhole in a rock cliff that only I could find. There, in that particular place, was complete security. From that spot I could look down into tumbled valleys and up to cloud-crowned mountains, lord of all my domain. As my grasp of Christian Science grew, I loved Mrs. Eddy's statement "Each individual must fill his own niche in time and eternity." Retrospection and Introspection, p. 70.
I felt I'd missed something. I wished I'd been born in a different time.
