It has been fourteen years since I last expressed my gratitude in writing (my first testimony was published in the Sentinel in 1972). During the years an understanding of Christian Science has enriched the lives of our entire family and has enabled us to overcome our difficulties through confidence in God's power.
My first testimony told of my healing of a subarachnoid hemorrhage after a board of Army doctors had pronounced my condition incurable. They had downgraded my medical category to the lowest, "C permanent." They had also prescribed certain types of medicines to be taken daily for the rest of my life to alleviate the pain.
I did not take the medication but relied on God alone. With the prayerful support of a Christian Science practitioner, I was entirely healed and was upgraded to medical category "A1" by another board of Army physicians. That was twenty-two years ago, and since then my sound health has been confirmed on the medical reports of my required annual examination by various Army physicians.
