The infinite gift

I was grateful. I could feel the presence of God at work in my human affairs. I was overflowing inside. I was moved to a question. I asked God, "What can I give the world that will last?"

The answer was "love."

The lights began to come on. Of course! Love multiplies. It is the infinite gift. The highest sense of love always goes the farthest—reaches the deepest parts. Love is the ultimate catalyst. That's how the loaves and fishes multiplied!

Not just human giving. More than that. It's loving the way God loves that does it. Christ Jesus knew. Unconditional loving; universal loving; ever-present loving; constant loving; far-reaching loving; tireless loving; patient loving; always loving.

God is Love, the basis of all love.

Love's infinite love keeps everything going—and so it goes.... God loves, I love; I love, you love; you love, we love; we love, they love.... Like a million pinpoint reflections of light in a room with mirrors for walls, the image bounces back and forth everywhere. Dancing, illumining, love is the gift of gifts.

Endless. Timeless.
