Creation: unstoppable abundance
One late spring afternoon, as we were getting ready to stop work on the farm my partner and I operate, I noticed some ominous-looking thunderheads in the west. I would normally go directly home, but this particular evening I felt impelled to stay with the crop—to "mother," or protect, the corn. About a half-hour later an intense hailstorm was threatening to destroy our corn crop, which had now grown about five inches high.
At times like this it can seem undeniable that matter has everything to do with creation, and God, divine Mind, very little. Yet God is the one Father and creator of all. The Bible tells us: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" Gen. 1:1. and "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:3.
God's creating is still in action moment by moment, here and now; and what's more, it's abundant. And as we claim our ability to yield to this spiritual fact, nothing can stop this creating from being apparent in our experience.
