"The loveliness of Love is all around." These words from Hymn No. 64 of the Christian Science Hymnal have brought joy to my heart for many years. But I did not always know this joy. Before I learned of Christian Science, I had many problems. After the birth of my first child, I suffered a bad fall. Six weeks later, because I was still having difficulty, I was taken to a hospital. Among other injuries I was told I had crushed vertebrae. When I returned home I fainted and fell many more times.

A dear aunt urged me to study Christian Science, but I said I was content in the church I went to. Later, twins were born to me. When the girl had walked for a year, the boy still had not. He had been in and out of hospitals many times. In discouragement I wrote to my aunt and said, "If you think Christian Science can help, you can pray for the child." In three weeks my son walked everywhere his sister did. I then began a study of Science.

The next healing was one his twin sister had. We were driving down the highway when she opened the back door and fell out on the road. When we got to her, she was bleeding badly and seemed not to be able to hear. I had memorized the definition of Church on page 583 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and had been trying to understand it better. It begins, "Church. The structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle."
