Morning light

Early light
through
backyard trees
touches
branch,
then leaf,
small bloom,
perhaps a stone
next
and this twig
on the ground.

Hint of day's radiance.

And so the

illuming,
touches
receptive branch,
then small question,
perhaps deep probing,
and hope
on solid ground
and leaf of thought.

Harbinger of the day's rejoicing.
