Peace horizon
A peace more deep-rootedthan an old sequoia tree,a peace more innocentthan the purest springhead stream,a peace more profoundthan the deepest ocean depths,a peace more soundthan the strongest diamond rock,a peace more poisedthan the highest mountain peak,a peace more far-reachingthan the beyondest star,a peace more settledthan the greatest earthly calm—I longed for such a peace as this.
Then I turned my gaze to Godand in humility could seeHis peaceas a pinnacle of love and gracespeaking to the whole human race.
