I am so very grateful that I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School while I was growing up. At the time, however, I did not appreciate my Sunday School training, and from my teen years on I drifted away from Christian Science.
When I was a young adult, each week I received an issue of the Sentinel. These copies were sent to me by my mother, who was confident that one day I would find my way back to Christian Science. As it happened, when a serious problem cropped up, I would turn to my copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and feel as if I had found an old friend. After twelve years of this "on and off" approach, I had an occasion to turn wholeheartedly to God when one of my young daughters became suddenly ill. Her quick healing touched me deeply and brought a turning point in my life.
