I have had Christian Science to help me all my life
I have had Christian Science to help me all my life. Now, as a grandmother, I value more than ever what it has done for me and mine.
My mother had a Christian Science practitioner's help the day I was born. (The birth was harmonious.) The first healing I had was that of whooping cough when I was six months old.
The first healing that I remember was when I was five years old. I had a painful abscess in my mouth. My mother took me on her lap and read to me the story of Daniel in the lions' den. When she came to the part where it says (Dan. 6:23), "And no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God," I jumped down exclaiming, "Daniel's God is my God. I believe in Him, too, so 'no manner of hurt' can be found upon me either!" I was healed in that moment.
