Dealing with problems on the first bounce
If you've ever played a game of tennis, or watched one, you know it's fast-moving. When the ball enters his court, the player must return the ball immediately to the right place in his opponent's court. Success goes to the player who consistently, effectively, and quickly gets the ball out of his court. Can the individual striving to practice Christian Science healing learn something from the tennis player?
Of course, Christian Science healing is by no means a game! It is the result of knowing God, His allness and goodness. And knowing that, as the likeness of God, man is really His spiritual idea, naturally holy and healthy.
Christian Science teaches that since sin and sickness are not created by God, they are unreal, false beliefs. Every case of sickness or discord of the physical body is a false belief, consciously or unconsciously entertained in thought. And when the false belief is thoroughly eliminated from thought through Christ, Truth, it ceases to be manifest on the physical body. Scientific truth, understood, is what enables you to dismiss sickness successfully.
