Inevitable good
The dawn is inevitable,
It can't be stopped.
Nor can we bring it about;
We can only watch
Unfolding glory.
It is not in our hands—
We can't shape it.
But we can shape our thought,
That is, our trust that the
Light of day will come.
It is a fact, and it is good.
When it comes, we see
The light—it has always
Been there, and as the earth
Turns, the sun comes into view.
We don't make the light.
We are not creators,
We are celebrators!
