I am grateful for Christian Science
I am grateful for Christian Science. It has been a wonderful help to me over the last fifty years. My mother brought me into Science following her instantaneous healing of a duodenal ulcer that had caused her to be bedridden for six weeks. After her first talk with the Christian Science practitioner who prayed for her, Mother enjoyed a roast dinner, had a wonderful night's sleep, and woke feeling like a new person. She had no further trouble of that kind. I was then ten years old, and I attended a Christian Science Sunday School until the required leaving age of twenty.
Christian Science has helped me overcome many problems through the years. At one time I had a very unhappy relationship with a girlfriend. I prayerfully, persistently affirmed that divine Love envelops us all, and the situation was healed.
Another time I was finding it difficult to hear, and I telephoned a practitioner, who prayed for me. She asked me to ponder this verse in Proverbs (20:12): "The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them." I thought about this and other spiritual truths, and in two days I was healed.
