What to do when you don't know what to do
"I've prayed. I've listened. I've taken all the human steps I can think of. I've weighed all the pros and cons. But I just don't know what to do!"
Probably all of us have felt this way, one time or another. And sometimes, just when things look most hopeless, the light breaks through and we have a genuine sense of divine direction. We see exactly what to do. Or maybe something totally unexpected enters the picture, all the human parameters and presuppositions are set aside, and a new path opens up.
This kind of breakthrough experience is natural, really, for anyone learning to depend on God. It's the inevitable effect of getting to know the one Mind—that limitless Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus," the same Mind that is equally yours and mine through the sonship our Master revealed.
