More than ten years have passed since I last expressed my thankfulness for Christian Science through a written testimony in the periodicals. The intervening years have brought me many proofs of God's love. A great blessing has been an increased awareness of the harmony that comes from leaning on divine Principle. This harmony has been evident in all areas of my life to the degree that I have conformed to the laws of God, Spirit.

A healing that I experienced last year has shown me the relationship between the state of one's thinking and the condition of his body. Two summers ago a blemish appeared on one of my shins. It was not painful, and I was not alarmed. Neither was I alert enough "to resist all that is unlike good," as Mrs. Eddy tells us to do. The full statement in Science and Health reads (p. 393), "Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good."

The following November a co-worker died after having suffered for some months from a malignant condition on her leg that had been the subject of many conversations by my fellow faculty members. The area on my leg began to be painful, and I began praying earnestly, affirming the reality of good. Then a relative also developed a condition on his leg that was diagnosed as malignant, and my fear increased. I prayed daily to recognize the spiritual law of harmony, but the symptoms began to extend to other areas of the leg. Only my husband and daughter knew of the situation, and I am most grateful for their insistence that harmony would prevail.
