Class instruction

In the early days of our movement, class instruction in Christian Science was considered the most natural step in the world! And of course that's exactly what it still is. What could be more natural than learning more about Christian Science healing for oneself and others? A receptive heart filled with humility, honesty, and goodness is ready at least to consider this step. Mary Baker Eddy admonished teachers not to solicit pupils, but she also wrote, "No member of this Church shall advise against class instruction" (Manual of The Mother Church, Art. XXVII, Sect. 5).

If you're wondering about your own readiness, you might like to ask yourself if you're willing to accept a deeper concept of love, to play a richer, more rewarding role in sharing the blessed Science our Leader has given us, to take your place in the front ranks of those who are joyously bearing daily witness to the healing, regenerative power of divine Love, of a more spiritual sense of Life. Also, are you ready to accept the gift of an ongoing relationship with a dedicated teacher of Christian Science, and of yearly association meetings—veritable feasts of spiritual nourishment?

Mrs. Eddy writes in Miscellaneous Writings (p. 317), "The hour has struck for Christian Scientists to do their own work; to appreciate the signs of the times; to demonstrate self-knowledge and self-government; and to demonstrate, as this period demands, over all sin, disease, and death." What a rousing call to arms!
