I would like to express my gratitude for a healing...
I would like to express my gratitude for a healing in Christian Science that has taken place over the last two years. One day I hurt my back at work and was in agony. I was required to have an X-ray, which showed that all the bones at the bottom of my spine were broken. According to the doctor, I would not walk again unless I had an operation. However, I declined medical treatment and asked for help through prayer from a Christian Science practitioner.
At first I could not walk and could only sit propped up in a chair. My son and a friend brought me food and assisted me in other ways. As I had always lived a very active life among lots of people, the confinement was very distressing to me.
Over several weeks I improved so that I could manage, with difficulty, to move slowly to the kitchen. I decided then that I must depend on my own prayer to help me, and I dismissed the practitioner with thanks.
