Joyously I report that I've had many blessings as a result of turning to God for help. One key to healing in Christian Science is to accept God's power as the only power. On page 1 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy we read, "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love." I have never been let down when I've totally relied on God's care for guidance and healing.

Several years ago I had a physical problem that seemed to affect the muscles and nerves. Walking and using my arms were very difficult.

I was out of work for several weeks, and I was studying and praying in Science. One day I was leafing through a copy of the Christian Science Quarterly and saw the subject for a future weekly Bible Lesson, "God the Preserver of Man." I thought, "Not only does God create man perfect, He also preserves man spiritually intact." I recognized then that I needed to turn to God—completely, without reservation or fear—and to trust Him with my life. (The fear of dying had crossed my mind.)
