Answer in fire
"Why these trials for me?"
I plead. "Surely, God,
You will concede
I'm tried, tied on every side.
What is Your answer,
divine Mind?"
Picture a Babylonian furnace,
three men, bound, but astonishingly
alive within.
All that burns are their bonds.
Yet a fourth man, too, is seen—
type of the Son of God.
Father, this picture portrays
the omnipresent promise
of Your fidelity:
"At all times cleave to Me,
and in the midst of fire
you will walk free."
