Choosing God
We all make so many decisions every day that we usually aren't even aware of choosing between this and that, or going here or there—right? Well, I'd like to tell you about a choice that Elizabeth made all on her own, without telling anyone. And she knew she was making an important decision.
Elizabeth was eleven and quite used to deciding things, since she often helped to take care of her younger sister and two brothers. The day I'm telling you about she had a headache and didn't feel much like playing with them. Her dad said it was OK if she wanted to take an aspirin from the bathroom cabinet.
But this time Elizabeth wasn't so sure that she wanted an aspirin. You see, her mom had been taking her to a Christian Science Sunday School since early childhood. Elizabeth just loved what she was learning about God. She was beginning to understand for herself that God really takes the best care of us.
