Master in the house
The Bible tells us that man is created by God in His likeness. If God is Spirit (and Christian Scientists, along with a great many other people, accept this fact), then it follows that the man of His creation is spiritual—entirely perfect, and that no element of man can be otherwise.
I declared this the other day when I sprained my ankle. I included the absolute truth that in a God-made spiritual universe accidents cannot possibly happen: not logically, not actually, not even ostensibly.
I evidently did not speak with much authority, for my ankle seemed to take on a life and personality of its own. It told me it was going to swell up—quite soon. It thought I ought to prop it up on something or even tie it up with something. It warned me it would turn blue by the morrow and that it very much doubted that I would be able to get a shoe on for a long time.
