Call to a meeting for all Christian Scientists

THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Christian Science Board of Directors invites Christian Scientists throughout North America and overseas to assemble on December 8, 1984, for a compelling purpose: to consider deeply the prophecy of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, concerning the twentieth century, and to awaken ourselves to the dangers she reluctantly foresaw. In foretelling such dangers, she expected Christian Scientists to face up to what is essential for mankind's salvation and world peace.

The meeting will originate in Boston at 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and will be beamed live via satellite to nearly one hundred cities where Christian Scientists will gather. Members of The Mother Church, as well as church executive boards and Reading Rooms, have received or will soon receive a letter about this videoconference. Branch churches will have specific information shortly regarding the time and location of the meeting in their area.

During this meeting we will explore ways to help the world accept, and prove through spiritual healing, our Master's words "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you" (John 14:27).
