Triumph over personal domination
Christian Science brings us a deep and pure insight into meeting problems of personal domination because it reveals man's inviolable relationship to the Father, divine Mind, God. A clear perception of what this relationship implies can lead to dominion over mental tendencies and outward circumstances that would make us either the dominator or the dominated.
We learn in Christian Science to understand the one omnipresent God not only as perfect Mind but also as ineffable Love, unchanging Principle, pure Spirit. No elements of despotism can possibly exist in this infinite Mind. Consequently, no elements of despotism can exist in Mind's infinite manifestation of itself, Mind's reflection, man; or in Mind's unchallengeable government of all things.
As explained in the Christian Science textbook by Mary Baker Eddy, "The great truth in the Science of being, that the real man was, is, and ever shall be perfect, is incontrovertible; for if man is the image, reflection, of God, he is neither inverted nor subverted, but upright and Godlike." Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 200. This is the radical, absolute basis on which situations involving personal domination can be resolved through prayer.
