Are you a Sunday School superintendent? Congratulations and appreciation are in order! You hold one of the offices Mrs. Eddy specially established for every branch Church of Christ, Scientist. And she has given you plenty of help to do the work. For one thing, the office itself is firmly rooted in the Manual of The Mother Church Man., p. 127 . by Mrs. Eddy, where it's mentioned twice in the Order of Exercises. Throughout her writings, as well as in the Bible, there is much to support the shepherding and nurturing you do. The wisdom, love, purity, needed for the job come from God. You, your staff, and the membership really have all you need to help the children become working disciples of the Christ, Truth.
Besides presiding over the Sunday School exercises, the superintendent has other important duties. But underlying them all and sheltering them all under God's care is the activity of prayer:
