My vacation with Holly Rae
As I look back on my two weeks of vacation, the most memorable experience was one shared with my six-year-old niece, Holly Rae.
She was visiting for several days, but prior to her coming I had written a letter explaining that I would want to have some time each day for quiet study and prayer, and that she would need to be in bed by nine o'clock to allow me study time at night as well. She said she understood and would be obedient.
And she was. I even remember one afternoon in the Christian Science Reading Room when she sat quietly reading some children's books for over forty-five minutes. An accomplishment that astonished her mother!
