FOR CHILDREN
Just like the squirrels
Have you ever watched squirrels at play? Camille does almost every morning. She and her mom have breakfast in a little room made mostly of windows, and through the glass they watch the neighborhood squirrels springing from limb to limb, tree to tree, dashing along the telephone wires, and playing tag on the rooftops.
In school Camille has learned where squirrels live, what they eat, and how they store their food. And watching them in the morning, she thinks about the spiritual qualities that show the true nature of all of God's creatures.
Life, with a capital L, is another name for God, Camille knows, and everything created by Life, God, expresses Him. Camille especially thinks of Life when she watches the squirrels play. They're so full of energy, so quick and strong. And lively!
