Morning light
Wake as an early Christian on the shore
Of foreign land he longs to tell of God—
Self-loads relinquished in humility,
God's glory shining on the untracked sand.
Waking in prayer to help humanity,
We see His Son, the Christ, so light the way
That we express God's knowing. Then we find
The work of healing is already done.
