Blessing for cursing
God has created man to express Himself. Man is the living ideal of divine Life, the loving expression of infinite Love. He can never be more or less than this true, radiant evidence of divine Love, reflecting the warmth of affection and the brilliance of spiritual understanding. Without man, God's creation, there would be no expression of the creator.
Problems come when we mistakenly base our views of creation on materiality. Then Mind is supposed to be the same as brain, substance seems to be matter, and law is misrepresented as an evil force in our experience. On this basis the carnal mind claims that God can both bless and curse. But neither matter, evil, nor cursing is included in the understanding that perfect God and perfect man constitute reality.
A curse is the carnal mind's attempt to reverse, and thereby destroy, the blessings of Love. When the carnal mind is exposed as both the mistake and the mistaken, every attempt to curse must fail, since Love and its ideas are real, while the carnal mind is unreal. Love is free from facets of reversal because it is all—self-created, self-existent, and eternal.
