God's law of reciprocation

How often have we read testimonies about people giving generous donations to church building funds or other worthy causes and the amount being reciprocated in some way? Sometimes the returns were considerably more than the original outlay.

Such an instance is recorded in The Christian Science Way of Life. DeWitt John, The Christian Science Way of Life (Boston: The Christian Science Publishing Society, 1962), p. 67 . This book includes an account of how a young Christian Science practitioner, even though possessing limited funds, was led to pledge $500 to his branch church building program. He had no idea where this money was coming from but felt certain God would bless his offering.

The next day a man who had just completed an important business deal came to see him. The man was filled with gratitude for the practitioner's help over an extended period of time. On learning that the practitioner's bill was $95, he quickly wrote out a check for $595. The additional $500 was a token of his great appreciation for the devoted prayers of the practitioner.
