A change of clothes
Self-will is mantled in hypocrisy,
Envy pulls up covers of false pride.
Coldness barely veils lack of compassion,
Prejudice wears circumscribing shades of scorn.
Shed these dark, double-dealing wrappings.
Take garment of real righteousness—
Fitted by honest heart's striving,
Warmed with meek motives cherished,
Whitened in Truth-lighted labors.
Stand clothed in unencumbered radiance!
KARIN SASS
