Have you seen headlines like these in recent weeks: "Death, Dissent Flow in Church's Veins"; "Church Group Slowly Dying"; " Rifts Start Being Obvious within Church "Church in Turmoil "; " Ramrod Rigid Science Church is Dying from Within"?
You might have casually wondered what on earth these headlines were referring to! Then the answer dawned: the headlines were referring to your Church! Sensational, provocative, utterly false. But aimed at Christian Science.
They came about in this way. A Church member who had been aggressively campaigning against Church policies for some years composed two lengthy articles expressing her personal views. The articles assimilated the false charges widely circulated in the vindictive gossip letters of recent years.
