"To be spiritually minded"

"A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."^{James 1:8.}

An astute biblical insight. But not into man. It refers rather to the mortal mentality in its habitual state of indecision. Believing in more than one mind, this mentality cannot be sure what is the right way to think or act. The best it can do is to more or less muddle through.

What a relief it is to learn that this is not man! The real, indestructible man is revealed in Christian Science and found to be individual, spiritual. God is the only Mind, and He made man in His own image. But the image of Mind is not another mind. It is reflected consciousness.
