FOR CHILDREN
IKANG AND JOJO
Ikang and Jojo attend a Christian Science Sunday School in the Philippines. They learn about God's love for His children, about Christ Jesus and his healing works, and about how we can heal today. Here's how Ikang and Jojo proved God's power.
One week before classes at her regular school were to start, Ikang tore out blank pages from notebooks she had used in school when she was very little. Ikang said that out of these pages she would make her own notebooks. So she took a small knife and with its pointed end began to make holes for the ends of the paper fastener to pass through. As she was boring the holes, the knife slipped and made deep cuts on Ikang's hand.
That day when Ikang's mother arrived from work, Ikang began to sob. Her oldest sister, Manang Jean, told why: "Ikang cut her fingers."
