Reflection—an outpouring of God's perfection

Have you thought about man as reflection today? Perhaps you have seen him as the likeness of God—or even as an image in Mind. But have you ever pictured him as the actual outpouring of God's perfection and goodness?

If man does "live, and move, and have [his] being" in God and is "his offspring," Acts 17:28. as the Bible says, he must necessarily emanate from God. A stream can't exist separated from its source; neither can effect be broken off from cause, an idea from Mind, or man from his creator, God.

People in general do not agree with this concept of man as the inseparable expression of God. The mortal, human mind is itself sourceless, a misnomer, for God is Mind. Paul calls the carnal mind "enmity against God," Rom. 8:7. a good reason for us to look elsewhere for the truth. Through a spiritual sense of the Scriptures, we can claim our rightful heritage as sons and daughters of God, having all the attributes of God.
