Just a coincidence. Oh, really?
Annie, Madora, and I were going to drive home together. Here was our plan: First, I would pick Annie up at 2:45 p.m. at a train station. From there, Annie and I would drive to another train station and pick up Madora at 3. Then all three of us would drive on home, 250 miles away. Simple, right? Here's what happened.
2:50. Annie is five minutes late. I suddenly realize that I forgot to tell Madora something very important. She would have to switch trains halfway on her trip in order to go straight on to the station where Annie and I are supposed to meet her. If she doesn't, she'd end up somewhere: where, I had no idea.
2:55. Annie, where are you? Being late isn't helping. Poor Madora! I wonder where you are by now.
