For many years I had nasal difficulties, which troubled me quite regularly and appeared in various forms, such as colds and hay fever. I was released from suffering many times through scientific prayer, but over the years these conditions recurred until gradually a continuous aggravation developed, sometimes complicated by serious infection.

Then, at a time when I was striving to deepen my daily study of Christian Science, the condition worsened. I felt that I should do all I could through my own prayers because, more than physical relief, I wanted to understand better my God-given dominion. With all my heart I prayed. Suddenly I felt a need to understand more about the Christ.

So I began a study of the word "Christ," using Concordances to the Bible and to Mary Baker Eddy's writings. I wanted to become better acquainted with the Bible's inspiration and with the Christ as explained in Christian Science.
