FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
The challenge
It was ten-thirty when Tad finally collapsed onto his bunk. He'd been out for a few hours of fast-paced cycling during the evening, and that made lying in bed especially delicious. Suddenly, Martin bolted in and announced that the cabin's mountain-climbing trip was set for the next morning.
"Tomorrow! Oh, no!" Tad groaned to himself. "I'm too tired! Why couldn't they have told us sooner? What do they want from me anyway!" Despite his annoyance he finally got to sleep.
Next morning he and his cabin mates were up extra early to finish their morning chores before setting off for the mountain.
