Psalm for soaring
Supernumerous, God's benefits;
all-embracingly beneficent, His care.
O we of little faith!
Could Love unlove?
Could Life unbe?
How down-light, manna-fresh,
our prayer can be,
how winged our hope;
how manifold our joy—
treasured heirs of promise,
on whom no fretful fear should light.
Uplifted in Spirit!
Borne aloft in Truth!
(Love-lift counteracting mortal drag)—
from such altitude of undividedness
the entire consciousness
mounts up and soars!
